Is it safe to swim in the Severn River today?
YES
How We Come to This Conclusion:
Using the information provided by DataHub, we were able to receive up to date information on nitrate levels, phosphate levels, dissolved oxygen levels, turbidity levels, and water temperature data. Through external research provided by the EPA and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, we were able to learn of maximum and minimum baselines for each parameter. Information on each parameter baseline is in the parameter's webpage. The "Is it safe to swim today?" tab uses this information on baselines to decide whether it is recommended to be swimming in the Severn River. If one data value in any parameter surpasses the given baseline, the response to "Is it safe to swim in the Severn River today?" will be "no." See the About Page to learn about DataHub.
